Hidden in the mountains, Museum SAN (Space Art Nature) began construction with a design by Tadao Ando, a master of minimalist exposed concrete architecture, and opened in May 2013 with the final works by James Turrell, an artist of light and space.
The museum follows the trail, starting with the Welcome Center and lawn parking lot, followed by the Flower Garden, GROUND Anthony Gormley Hall (2025), Sculpture Garden, Space of Light (2023), Water Garden, Main Building, Stone Garden, Meditation Hall (2019), and James Turrell Hall. The main building features four wings connected in square, triangular, and circular spaces, embodying the architect's philosophy of connecting earth, sky, and people.
Museum SAN, a cultural space where architecture and art harmonize in the ever-changing embrace of nature throughout the four seasons, aims to gift forgotten moments of leisure and rest within nature and art through paper and analog under the slogan Disconnect to connect.

Watch the world's only multimedia BIG-O Show
Probably the most famous attraction of the Yeosu Expo is the “Big-O Show!” This spectacle of water, lights, and sounds is sure to delight any visitor.
A note for Korean visitors: bring/buy a rain poncho to protect from the watery mist that sprays across the audience.
A note for foreign visitors: be prepared for the most hilarious fight against airborne water spray you’ve ever seen. Everyone knows that they’re going to get sprayed, but it’s a shrieking and howling spectacle of aquatic avoidance and surprise. The laser show is amazing, and you will undoubtedly have a good time, no matter your proclivity towards water.
