The Mirage Volcano in front of Las Vegas’ MGM Mirage has been wowing travelers for over 30 years. The volcano erupts in a nightly fiery display against a background of dancing water jets—complete with a pulsating soundtrack and a kaleidoscopic light show. It actually emits heat to mimic an actual eruption. The show draws a sizeable crowd each time so it's recommended to get there early to snag a good viewing spot. Catch the show on a night tour of the city in a cute pink jeep, or enjoy an aerial view from a helicopter.

If you don’t visit the Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas Sign, did you even come to Vegas? Amongst all of the great things to do in Las Vegas, this is easily the best way to make your friends #jelly. People have been visiting the sign basically since its placement in 1959. Oh! Fun fact: the sign didn’t have a designated parking lot or a place for visitors to strike a pose until 2008. So people were literally dodging traffic for a pic with the legendary landmark. Shout out to the city for realizing that a real-life game of Frogger was bad for business. Our traffic-troubled past aside, this 25 foot-tall attraction stands toe-to-toe with the best restaurants in Las Vegas, the best shows in Las Vegas and the numerous events in Las Vegas as a fo’ show must see. Just be sure to treat her with the respect she deserves, alright? That means telling her how pretty she is and watching where you put your hands.
